S7. Source Audition

make new data earn its seat

What this does

A hiring process for data. Before any new feed — on-chain analytics, sentiment, flows, a newsletter — gets to influence decisions, it auditions: observe first, prove it would have helped, and even then it only earns the right to say "don't trade," not "trade more."

What to expect back

Half of auditions end in PASS, and that's the system working. The ones that proceed come with a number you committed to in advance — which makes you, statistically, a different species of market participant.

Every added source feels like an upgrade and is usually a new way to fool yourself. The discipline that separates desks from hobbyists is not how much data they have — it's how data gets promoted.
